Ration irregularities in Edamalakkudy: two civil supplies officials suspended

The Civil Supplies department has suspended two officials in connection with irregularities in ration distribution at Edamalakkudy, the State’s first tribal panchayat. According to authorities, the suspension order was issued by K. Hima, Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs. The suspended officials are Devikulam Taluk Supply Officer Sanjaynath and former Rationing Inspector Jayakumar E.

The order stated that the action was taken after the Supplyco Vigilance squad found serious lapses on the part of the officials regarding ration distribution in the panchayat.
