Coinciding with the observance of April 25 as World Malaria Day, the Puducherry Health Department has appealed to all concerned stakeholders to continue with their efforts towards complete eradication of malaria from the Union Territory. Director of Health S. Sevvel in a release said, the Union Territory has reported the last case of Malaria in 2020. The Ministry of Health has included the Union Territory under ‘0’ category. The Union Territory is eligible for dossier submission for Subnational Malaria Elimination Verification Certification, the release said.
