HYDERABAD Chairman and Managing Director of the Telangana Rythu Power Distribution Company (Rythu Discom) Musharraf Faruqui said that the new Discom would handle 42% of the distribution operations in the State from June 2, when it is likely to get fully operational. The new Discom would provide quality and reliable power supply to the agriculture sector, irrigation and other key sectors. Once it gets fully operational, Southern Discom would handle 44% of the operations and the Northern Discom would handle 14% of the distribution operations in the State.
