Political parties barred from using vehicles to transport voters: Cuddalore Collector

District Election Officer and Cuddalore Collector Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar on Wednesday instructed the political parties not to use any vehicles to transport voters to polling booths.

In a statement, he said that candidates, agents, or supporters are not permitted to provide free rides to voters. Only three vehicles per candidate are permitted — one for personal use, one for the election agent, and one for party workers, with prior approval from the Returning Officer.
