The police rounded up 11 history-sheeters in Pulianthope as part of heightened security measures ahead of the Assembly elections. Among those detained, Gokulraj, 26, of B.V. Colony in Vyasarpadi, was nabbed by the MKB Nagar police for his involvement in multiple offences. The police said he was the son of ‘Vellai’ Ravi, a history-sheeter who was killed in a police encounter. Vyasarpadi police detained Aravindraj, alias ‘Tiger’ Aravind, 33, an ‘A’ category history-sheeter from C. Kalyanapuram, for continued involvement in criminal activities.
