A national governance framework, a verified directory of apps, and digital literacy initiatives were among key recommendations put forward at a consultative meeting on the safe use of digital technologies in mental healthcare convened by NIMHANS.

The recommendations emerged from a three-day national consultation on digital technologies for mental health held from April 15 to 17 by the NIMHANS – Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Centre for Advanced Research on Digital Interventions for Mental Health Care. The meeting was held in collaboration with the Services for Healthy Use of Technology (SHUT) Clinic, under the guidance of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
