KARTHIKEYAN A campaign for the DMK has been brewing for decades in a sleepy village in Dindigul district. Wayfarers and those who like to take the circuitous winding road from Dindigul to reach the newly laid ring road joining the Natham highway to the Tiruchi four-lane will have to cross M.M. Kovilur. About 8-km from Dindigul, this village with an inviting canopy from huge old trees is a quiet pit stop for drivers. And in the midst of the village stands a fairly large tea stall run by 58-year-old Jain Allaudin. Like any other stall, he serves piping hot cups of tea and coffee that go extremely well with the crispy vadas. But Allaudin sells more; his stall also gives a glimpse into history that feeds the soul too.
