Fuel stations run dry in Shaikpet, with several outlets shut as panic buying amid shortage rumours leaves pumps out of stock in Hyderabad. | Photo Credit: Siddhant Thakur Hyderabad witnessed a second consecutive day of disruption on Tuesday as panic buying of fuel led to long queues at petrol pumps across the city, spilling over onto arterial roads and slowing traffic during peak morning hours. By 7 a.m. on April 28, serpentine queue of vehicles had formed outside fuel stations in several parts of the city. Traffic police, anticipating a repeat of Monday’s congestion, moved quickly to impose crowd control measures. Barricades and cones were placed at petrol pump entrances, creating controlled two-lane entry points aimed at preventing queues from spilling onto main roads.
