Palamalai FPO opens fourth outlet at Thondamuthur in Coimbatore

The Palamalai Farmer Producer Organisation in Coimbatore has opened its fourth retail outlet at Thondamuthur with the support of the Department of Agriculture and Farmer Development, Government of Tamil Nadu, Small Farmers’ Agribusiness Consortium, and Isha Outreach.

G. Ranganathan, State Organising Secretary of Tamil Nadu Farmers’ Association, said the outlet would obviate the need for middlemen for farmers to sell their produce.

About 750 farmers will benefit directly from the outlet selling vegetables, millets, edible oil, milk products, fruits and other agricultural and horticultural products, and thousands others will derive its utility indirectly.
