The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church is set to elect four new metropolitans. The decision, based on recommendations from the Episcopal Synod and the Working Committee, was announced by Baselios Marthoma Mathews III, Catholicos and Supreme Head of the Church, during a meeting of the Church managing committee.
