Speaking to The Hindu here, he said that hundreds of youngsters would get job opportunities very soon with the construction of airport at Bhogapuram which is very close to Pydibhimavaram-Ranasthalam industrial corridor of Etcherla constituency. “NPCIL officials have recently discussed the establishment of skill development centres near Arjunnavalasa as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility activities. It is going to be a big boon for youngsters who needed to upgrade their skills to meet the expectations of the companies. At least 1000 persons will be trained in a year as per the tentative schedule,” said Mr. Rao. According to him, NPCIL will construct a township for its own staff in Etcherla constituency as the company planned to develop nuclear power project at Kovvada of Ranasthalam mandal of Srikakulam district. A rehabilitation colony with ₹700 crore will also be constructed in Dharmavaram village for the villagers who had surrendered their land for the nuclear project.
