National Commission for Scheduled Castes has issued a notice to Virudhunagar District Collector with regard to a complaint lodged by Scheduled Caste people over a long-pending demand of removing caste from the name of their habitation. Based on a complaint from State youth wing secretary of Dalit Liberation Movement S. Bhima Rao, Director of NCSC S. Ravivarman sent a notice on Thursday.
