File | Photo Credit: The Hindu Nandyal district Collector Rajakumari Ganiya has ordered disciplinary action against doctors and staff who were absent from duty at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Timmapuram village, Mahanandi mandal. Ms. Ganiya made a surprise visit to the PHC at 10.10 a.m. on Wednesday (April 15, 2026), and found that two doctors, a lab technician, and a pharmacist had not reported for duty on time. On checking the attendance register, she found that the Multipurpose Health Officer (MPHO) had signed on behalf of three of the absentees.
