The distance will also be reduced to 13.3 km after the construction of the new missing link between Mumbai and Pune on the Yashwantrao Chavan Mumbai-Pune Expressway. According to Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) officials, the road will bring relief to commuters from the congestion at Khandala Ghat.
