Mochakk says he is excited to perform in India | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement Brazil’s leading electronic music talents, Mochakk (aka Pedro Maia), will make his India debut this summer. He will perform in Goa on May 7, Mumbai on May 8, Delhi on May 9 and Bengaluru on May 10. “Touring India has been in the works for a while, and finally making it happen feels special. I’ve seen so many Indian fans reaching out — not just through messages, but also in the number of streams my tracks and sets get from there. Every DJ I know who has played in India talks about how insane the energy is and how much the electronic music scene is growing, so I’m really excited to see it for myself,” he says during a phone interview. Mochakk rose to international acclaim in 2023 with the release of Jealous on Circoloco Records, which also put out his double-hitting EP Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 I & II. “The track itself is like a nod to the roots of house music, inspired by the CircoLoco Ibiza at DC-10 atmosphere that is so unique,” he says. Known for his production prowess, the genre-bending artiste has released a variety of standout tracks including ‘Da Fonk’ featuring Joni, which has surpassed 50 million streams. “We recorded it in a closet, using pillows to get some kind of soundproofing, which worked so well with the vibe we were going for,” he recalls.
