Minister for Roads and Buildings BC Janardhan Reddy on Sunday (April 19) inaugurated the ‘PM Surya Ghar Utsav’ at Panchamapeta in Banaganapalle town. The Minister formally launched the solar power supply system designed to provide free, subsidized solar electricity to SC and ST families, by pressing a switch. After unveiling the commemorative plaque marking the launch of the PM Surya Ghar Utsav, Mr. Janardhan Reddy interacted with the beneficiaries of the scheme. Speaking on the occasion, he said the scheme is capable of bringing about a transformation in the lives of the people. “This scheme is being implemented with the noble objective of providing free electricity to one crore households across the country,” the Minister said.
