A 34-year-old man was killed in an accident while bursting crackers during Vishu celebrations at Sreekrishnapuram near here on Wednesday night. The victim, Dileep of Vellappamthodi, suffered severe injuries when crackers he was holding caught fire and exploded. The incident occurred while he was setting off fireworks with friends. According to local residents, the flames spread to other crackers in his hand as he was lighting one, triggering the explosion.
