The Amruthahalli police have arrested a man for allegedly impersonating an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and cheating a medical store owner of ₹41 lakh under the pretext of securing a government contract. The accused, identified as Mithun, a native of Kadur in Chikkamagaluru district, reportedly posed as a 2023-batch IAS officer working with the National Health Mission (NHM). He is accused of deceiving multiple individuals by falsely claiming to hold a senior government position.
