Labour, Police Departments inquire at textile factory in Namakkal following allegations raised by Jharkhand workers

The Labour and Police Departments, on Monday (April 27, 2026), are inquiring into the allegation raised by Jharkhand workers who were working at a textile factory in the district.

A few migrant labourers from Jharkhand who were working in a textile factory at Veppadai in Namakkal district lodged a complaint with the Labour Department in Jharkhand stating that the workers were not paid their remuneration and that the factory staff allegedly assaulted them.
