VIBHU The dawn-to-dusk hartal by Dalit and Adivasi organisations in Kerala on Tuesday (April 28, 2026) demanding justice in connection with the death of BDS student Nithin Raj at a college in Anjarakandy, Kannur, evoked partial response in Ernakulam. Normal life was not affected in Kochi city and its outskirts as shops and other establishments functioned as usual. The hartal did not affect the functioning of government and private offices, which recorded regular attendance.
