Govindan has expressed firm confidence that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) will retain power in Kerala, as he interpreted the exit poll data as confirmation of a Left victory. Addressing the media in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday (April 30, 2026), Mr. Govindan said that while some polling agencies predict a tight race, the underlying findings of the surveys, specifically the “absence of anti-incumbency and the popularity of the Chief Minister”, indicate a definitive win for the ruling front.
