All arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of the Assembly election in 13 constituencies in Kozhikode district on Thursday (April 9, 2026).

According to official sources, the voting will be held between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. There are 13,04,604 male voters, 13,64,182 female voters, and 31 transgender voters in the district. A total of 100 candidates are seeking the popular mandate this time.

A release said on Wednesday (April 8, 2026) that 13,218 officials had been deployed for duty at 2,837 polling stations across the district. Each booth will have one presiding officer, one first polling officer, and two polling officers. Sensitive booths will have micro observers as well, along with special security staff.
