HYDERABAD

Founder-president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has observed that a recent incident in Lok Sabha, of BJP MP from Karnataka Tejasvi Surya comparing the formation of Telangana State – to the birth of Pakistan and trying to portray it as a separatist movement, has highlighted the need for BRS presence there.

“Had there been even one MP of BRS in Lok Sabha, he/she would have condemned and opposed such an unwanted and cynical remark tooth and nail and insisted for an unconditional apology on the floor of the House itself,” Mr. Rao said speaking at the party’s State executive meet held as the plenary to conclude the silver jubilee of the of the organisation on Monday.
