Karnataka Chief Minister ready to ‘sacrifice power or continue’ depending on high command’s decision, says Rajanna

Amid speculation over a leadership change in Karnataka, K.N. Rajanna, a close aide of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Tuesday said the latter was willing to “either sacrifice power or continue in office” as directed by the Congress high command and Rahul Gandhi.

Mr. Rajanna also indicated openness to a change in leadership, in an apparent reference to Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar, whose supporters have been seeking his elevation. He urged the high command to end the uncertainty, warning that it was affecting both the party and governance.
