As the State continues to sizzle under rising temperatures, the School Education Department has issued an advisory for principals, teachers, support staff, and students to protect themselves from summer heat.

In a circular, the department said that open spaces exposed to direct sunlight during peak hours, especially during 12.00 p.m. and 3.00 p.m., must be avoided. “Classes, games, or exercise for students outside during these hours must be avoided,” they said.
