It is yet another Assembly election season, and the same political playbook is being followed in Kanniyakumari district, where the Indian National Congress (INC) party is contesting in three Assembly segments of the district, as it has done in the last three elections, such as 2011, 2016 and 2021. The Kanniyakumari district has been a Congress bastion for decades, enjoying robust and enduring support, particularly in the western parts of the district, even after the entry of Dravidian parties into the political arena.
