Idukki double murder: police arrest accused

The police on Tuesday said that Saji, 43, a resident of Pachady, near Nedumkandam in Idukki, confessed to the double murder of his mother, Marykkutty (70), and his brother, Reji (47). Both had been missing since the first week of April.

Saji was taken into custody near Thottuvakkada near Pachady around 12 p.m. on Tuesday. He had reportedly been hiding in the hills near his home for the past two days before venturing out. After interrogation the police recorded the accused’s arrest.
