Hours Fish Point, an initiative by the Ashtamudi Lake Inland Fishermen Development and Welfare Cooperative Society to provide consumers with rapid access to fresh fish, was launched in Kollam on Friday. This innovative venture aims to collect authentic local varieties from Ashtamudi Lake, such as pearlspot (karimeen), along with marine fish, to distribute them across 68 grama panchayats, four municipalities, and the Corporation areas within the district. The project was inaugurated with the flagging off of a mobile fish vending unit by CPI(M) State committee member S. Jayamohan.
