The hearing on anticipatory bail pleas filed by two teachers accused in the death of first-year BDS student R.L. Nithin Raj of Kannur Dental College, Anjarakandy, was adjourned to April 23 by the Thalassery Additional District and Sessions Court on Wednesday. The adjournment came after the court decided to hear the submissions of Nithin’s father, Y.L. Rajan, as well. The pleas were filed by M.K. Ram and K.T. Sangeetha Nambiar, the first and second accused in the case. The court postponed detailed arguments after Mr. Rajan, who appeared through another counsel, sought a copy of the anticipatory bail petitions filed by the accused teachers.
