Head constable survives bullet injury to chest after rifle misfire in Kakinada

A 52-year-old head constable, Lanke Dhana Raju, has survived after a bullet pierced his chest, reportedly due to a misfire of the rifle while he was cleaning it at EVM godown beside the Collectorate in Kakinada. The incident occurred at around 7.30 a.m..

Kakinada Superintendent of Police G. Bindhu Madhav, in a press release stated; “Mr. Dhana Raju has survived with severe injury on the left side of the chest after the 303 rifle misfired while he was cleaning it.”
