Venkatesh informed the Legislative Assembly that the State government will drop its proposal to construct a stadium on a portion of the land belonging to Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation (KSIC) at T. Narsipur, near here, the State government has formally issued orders withdrawing the transfer of five acres of the corporation’s land to the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES). The Government Order, dated April 21, signed by Principal Secretary to the State Government’s Department of Tourism and Sericulture, Pramil N., said the five acres of land in various survey numbers of Byrapura village of T. Narsipur taluk transferred free of cost to DYES for the construction of a taluk-level stadium on July 14, 2025, has been withdrawn with immediate effect.
