Minister for Revenue Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Khammam District Collector Anudeep Durishetty handing over a certificate to a licenced surveyor in Khammam on Sunday. Minister for Revenue Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said outdated methods involving tapes and chains had been completely done away with and replaced by modern Rover technology, which allows measurements with accuracy up to centimetres. The government had procured 600 rover devices and was distributing them across districts, he said addressing a programme at the Khammam Collectorate (IDOC), where certificates were distributed to licensed surveyors who had completed their training. He said licensed surveyors were being brought directly to the field-level to ensure accurate and transparent land measurements, marking a major shift in the land administration system. A total of 5,500 trained licensed surveyors have been allotted across mandals based on land extent, he said. In Khammam district, appointment letters were issued to 47 candidates who qualified in the second phase. On irregularities reported under the Dharani portal, the Minister said forensic audits had already been completed in Sircilla and Siddipet districts and the reports were under government examination. Similar audits would soon be conducted in the remaining 31 districts across the State, he added.
