With the monsoon approaching, stormwater drain (SWD) works at Manyata Tech Park in north Bengaluru are close to completion — a move expected to address the persistent flooding in the area. The North City Corporation had set a deadline for the works to be completed before the rains, after repeated instances of waterlogging affected roads and parts of the tech park.

The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB), which had earlier held back building approvals until the issue was fixed, has now also eased those restrictions, as the situation is largely under control, board officials said.
