Akash on Friday. | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) used in the April 23 polling for Assembly constituencies in Mayiladuthurai and Nagapattinam districts were sealed and secured under tight security at designated counting centres on Friday. In Mayiladuthurai district, EVMs from Sirkazhi (SC), Mayiladuthurai, and Poompuhar constituencies were brought to the A.V.C. College of Engineering and placed in strong rooms. The sealing process was carried out in the presence of District Collector and District Election Officer H.S. Srikanth, General Observers Neha Sharma, Ronanki Gurmanath and Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav, Superintendent of Police G. Stalin, and representatives of political parties.
