Parameshwara said he has directed the Director General of Police (DGP) of Karnataka to submit a detailed report on allegations of harassment made by an inspector of Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement (DCRE), and a separate letter written by a Superintendent of Police against the Mangaluru City Police Commissioner. Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru on April 21, Dr. Parameshwara said he had taken note of media reports regarding the issue. The DCRE Inspector, identified as Srinivas, has levelled serious allegations while SP Kashinath has written to the DGP highlighting his concerns.
