Govarthan BJP State president Nainar Nagendran on Friday (April 17, 2026) defended the proposed delimitation exercise, stating that the move to increase the number of Parliamentary seats was in line with population growth. Addressing reporters here, he criticised Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for opposing the proposal and alleged that the State government had failed to implement people-centric schemes over the past five years while consistently positioning Tamil Nadu against the Union government. “He opposes everything and has focused only on family interests,” he said.
