Collector receives threat by e-mail; police search turns hoax in Sivaganga Collectorate

An e-mail from a self-styled organisation – Tamizh Viduthalai Amaippu – claimed to have planted some explosive substances in the Sivaganga District Collectorate and at the camp office of the District Collector.

On receipt of the mail, when the officials complained to the police, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad conducted search operation at the Collectorate and at the camp office of the Collector.
