Five people, including an infant, were injured after a car crashed into a parked lorry at Pallippuram on Sunday. The accident occurred around 4.30 p.m. near the CRPF Junction at Pallippuram. According to the police, the lorry, loaded with cement, had been parked along the side of the national highway where construction work is under way. The car, in which a family was travelling towards Attingal, is suspected to have lost control and rammed into the stationary lorry. Three women, one man and an infant were travelling in the car at the time of the accident. Both airbags of the car were deployed due to the impact of the collision. Those injured were rushed Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College Hospital for treatment. All patients are out of danger, the police stated.
