A cab driver was killed in a road accident near Valliyoor in the district on Wednesday. Police said G. Manikandan, 42, of Nagercoil was returning home from Tirunelveli. When he was crossing Kovaneri near Valliyoor, his car hit from behind a stationary container lorry, in which Manikandan was killed on the spot.
