Bars of silver, copper and brass, created out of discarded pooja articles, were offered by the volunteers of Ramakrishna Mission’s Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan to the Kadri Manjunatha temple here on Tuesday.

Seeing lot of pooja articles and photo frames of gods being discarded in a haphazard way, volunteers of the Abhiyan took up ‘Visarjane’, a ten-day long campaign for collection and safe disposal of religious waste. The campaign was held between March 16 and March 26.
