As the mercury levels are expected to rise further in the coming days, Deputy Chief Minister and Power Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka directed power utilities to prepare advanced plans and ensure there are no interruptions in the power supply to hospitals, drinking water supply schemes and other essential services. The State recorded the highest temperature of 46℃ on three consecutive days from Monday (April 27, 2026). In view of the increasing demand for electricity, the Power Minister conducted a review meeting with senior officials of the Energy Department at Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad on Thursday (April 30, 2026) where directions were issued to avoid interruptions.
