The Kerala Government Medical Officers’ Association (KGMOA), while welcoming the government’s efforts to offer the best of treatment to people who become the victims of snakebite, has asked the it to improve the situation of human resources (HR) and other infrastructural facilities in hospitals so that the administration of anti-snake venom and other protocol-based ancillary treatment can be managed well.

The KGMOA said that the public must be educated about the serious practical challenges and safety concerns that arise when a snakebite victim has to be administered the anti-snake venom (ASV).
