Elambahavath flagged off an anti-leprosy awareness rally from Government Medical College and Hospital campus in Thoothukudi. The rally, in which students of Government School of Nursing, members of public and government officials participated, passed through main roads and concluded at the Government school of Nursing. Joint Director (Health) Priyadharshini, Deputy Director of Medical Services (tuberculosis) Sundaralingam, Deputy Director (leprosy), Yamuna and doctors of Thoothukudi Government Medical College and Hospital were present. Kanniyakumari District Collector R. Alagumeena flagged off the anti-leprosy awareness rally in Nagercoil. The rally started from Kanniyakumari District Collectorate and ended at Sir C.V. Ramasamy Iyer Memorial Park. Deputy Director of Medical Services (leprosy) Girija, Deputy Director (family welfare) Ravikumar and other officials were present.
