The Andhra Pradesh Community Managed Natural Farming (APCNF) programme has been named a global finalist for the prestigious Food Planet Prize 2026, marking a significant milestone for India’s sustainable agriculture movement. Instituted by the Curt Bergfors Foundation, the award is regarded as the world’s largest environmental prize focused on transforming food systems. APCNF is the first Indian initiative to reach the finalist stage since the prize was launched in 2020. From over 1,000 global nominations, including six entries from India, it emerged as the country’s sole finalist.
