The police arrested two persons involved in a series of mobile phone thefts at three locations, including North Beach, and recovered four phones. They said the complainant, Manikandan, 38, of Thangavel Vaidyar Street in Triplicane, works as a security guard at a private firm. On the night of April 27, after shopping in Burma Bazaar, he boarded a bus from a stop near the Beach Railway Station. When he checked his pocket, he realised his mobile phone had been stolen.
