Campaigning for DMK candidate for Madurai Central Assembly constituency Palanivel Thiaga Rajan on Wednesday (April 15, 2026), former Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram said the AIADMK was a ‘tiny doll’ in the BJP-led Delhi alliance.

He said: “An alliance, led by the DMK, is contesting the elections. This is not a new alliance; this same alliance won the 2019 Parliamentary elections, the 2021 Assembly elections, and the 2024 Parliamentary elections. It will win the 2026 Assembly elections too.”
