This is just about 1.98 lakh more than the votes polled in the 2021 Assembly elections. Though the Assembly constituency-wise postal vote numbers have not been included, Kavundampalayam, which has the highest number of voters in the district (4,14,821), saw 85.5 % voters polling on Thursday. In actual numbers, the highest number of additional voters who cast their vote compared with the 2021 elections was from this constituency, with 47,646 additional electors making their mark on the ballot.
