Thrissur Pooram, a cultural experience without parallel, unfurled in all its splendour on Sunday (April 26, 2026). Even the scaled down format and scorching summer heat have not deterred the pooram lovers from thronging the city.

The socio-religious festival offers something to everyone — from ceremonial processions, elephants and traditional percussion ensembles. In the wake of Mundathikode fireworks unit blast, the pyro-technic show of the pooram, has been cancelled this time.
