All Tasmac liquor retail shops and bars would remain closed on May 1 under the provisions of Tamil Nadu Liquor (Licence and Permit) Rules, 1981 on the occasion of Labour Day. A statement from Virudhunagar Collector N.O. Sukhaputra said that any shops or bars found violating the directive would face action under the provisions of Tamil Nadu Liquor (Licence and Permit) Rules, 1981.
