Amid speculation on Monday whether the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) will go in for power restrictions, the power utility is pinning its hopes on summer rainfall gaining strength this week to bring cooler weather and lower electricity consumption to manageable levels. In its five-day district-level forecast for Kerala, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow alert for isolated heavy rainfall in a number of districts.
